Callaway Police arrest Auxvasse man on multiple charges
CALLAWAY COUNTY- Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested 40-year-old Michael J. Brooks at 11:15 p.m. last night in the 200 block of Oak Street in Auxvasse.
It was reported that originally Brooks had a MO Department of Corrections parole violation warrant.
Callway County Sherrif's Office Lt. Curtis hall reported that Brooks fled the residence through a window and a lengthy foot chase led deputies through several yards and streets of Auxvasse. As deputies went to take Brooks into custody, he continued to resist arrest and a significant struggle followed.
Ultimately, Brooks was taken into custody and charged with Resisting Arrest of a Felony and three counts of Assault 4th on a Special Victim(Law Enforcement), in addition to the original charge of the parole violation warrant.
Brooks was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and then taken to Callaway County Jail where her remains on No Bond per the parole warrant.
