Candlelight Vigil for Former MU Professor Set for Monday
COLUMBIA - A candlelight vigil for the first tenured black professor at the University of Missouri will be Monday night at 7 p.m.
Arvarh Strickland worked at the university from 1969 until 1996 and was largely responsible for increasing black enrollment.
The vigil is outside Strickland Hall on the university's campus and is open to the public.
