Car Chase Leads Police to Stolen Car
FULTON - Fulton Police found a stolen vehicle from Jefferson County after a chase through multiple counties. During the chase, law enforcement deployed spike strips, and the car came to a stop outside the city limits of Columbia on Rt. WW. The driver, 20-year-old Mitchell E. Simmons II, faces charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest for a Felony, Resisting Arrest by Fleeing causing substantial risk to others, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance along with numerous traffic charges. Simmons' bond is set at $16,55.00. The passenger, 18-year-old Michael Miller, faces charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $1000.00 bond.
