Carlie Rose Signs to Play Softball at Mizzou
COLUMBIA - The Missouri softball team announced on Wednesday that Carlie Rose as signed to play at Mizzou becoming the tenth prep standout to sign a National Letter of Intent with the Tigers. Rose will join Corrin Genovese, Kelsi Jones, Taylor Gadbois, Bailey Erwin, Ashtin Stephens, Alyssa Cousins, Kelsea Roth, Angela Randazzo and Kayla Kingsley who signed during the early period as next year's freshman class that were announced in November.
During Rose's career at Nixa High SChool she earned All-Conference and All-District honors all four years, All-Ozarks honor three years, and First Team All-Region and First Team All-State honors as a junior and senior. She was also named Co-Conference Player of the Year as a senior. Rose hit over .500 with 15 home runs in her last season, posted a .630 batting average during her senior season while hitting 12 home runs - second most in the state. She tied the state record with a 1.370 slugging percentage and tied a state record with 55 runs batted in and broke the state record for extra base hits with 34. Rose had a .490 career batting average, setting team season and career records for hits, home runs, runs batted in, batting average, slugging percentage, extra base hits and runs.
