Central Missouri Humane Society Places More Than 2000 Animals

COLUMBIA- The Central Missouri Humane Society, or CMHS, placed 2,213 cats, dogs, and small animals in homes in 2012. That was a big increase in adoptions from 2011.
CMHS had record-breaking adoption events in 2012, including one where 44 cats found new homes in four hours.
The shelter also sent 797 animals to rescue organizations, an increase over 2011 statistics.
