CENTRALIA - The Centralia R-VI School District will be closed Monday due to Sunday's water main break. The district said school has not been cancelled Tuesday, even though a boil order for the city will still be in effect.
Superintendent Darin Ford would also like parents to send at least three bottles of water to school with their students Tuesday. The school district cannot provide enough water for all students.
The police department said City Administrator Lynn Behrns has issued a boil order for 48 hours after the water comes back on. The city expects water to be restored by midnight.
The police department said crews are working to solve the problem, but there is no indication if water will be restored earlier than expected.
