Chiefs QB Cassel Understands Why He's Feeling Heat
KANSAS CITY (AP) -- Matt Cassel is beginning to feel the heat in Kansas City.
He says it comes with the territory as the starting quarterback for a floundering NFL franchise.
Cassel has thrown four interceptions through two games, both of them lopsided losses, and will try to get things turned around when the Chiefs visit San Diego on Sunday.
After leading the Chiefs to the playoffs and making the Pro Bowl last year, Cassel has performed so poorly that there are already calls for Kansas City to lose enough games so it has a shot at the No. 1 draft pick and Stanford's Andrew Luck.
Cassel is quick to point out that the season is only two games old and says the Chiefs will put together a better game Sunday
