City of New Franklin Issues Boil Order

NEW FRANKLIN — There is a boil order for all New Franklin residents Thursday. KOMU received a press release from the city of New Franklin at 8:30 a.m., and it stated the order is in effect until further notice.
According to the release, customers should boil all drinking water for three minutes before using it to drink, cook or prepare food. Ice made with un-boiled water should not be used for drinking purposes.
Customers should also disinfect dishes and counters with tap water that contains one teaspoon of household bleach per gallon.
