Closing Arguments Expected Tuesday In Morton Case
Testimony ended yesterday in a trial that's now more than a week old. Tausha Morton is on trial for first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the 2004 death of Mitchell Kemp.
At the time she was married to Kemp but living with Gregory Morton. She later married Morton and then divorced him.
Detectives dug up Kemp's body, but that wasn't until August of 2008.
During testimony last week Gregory Morton admitted to shooting and later burying Kemp along with Tausha Morton. He says he admitted because he needed to own up to what he did.
Testimony came to a close yesterday afternoon. Closing arguments are scheduled for nine this morning.
