KANSAS CITY -- Central Methodist pitcher Drew Greiwe was named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference first team to lead Eagle award winners. The All-Conference teams and were released Friday.
Greiwe has posted a 7-2 record on the mound and is tied for the school's single-season record for strikeouts at 78. In 70.1 innings pitched, he has a 2.94 ERA and six complete games.
Outfielder Dustin Ray and catcher Daniel Peters were voted to the All-Conference second team. Ray has two homers, 20 RBI, a .348 batting average and a team-high 14 stolen bases in 42 games. Peters is hitting .344 in 36 games with 17 RBI.
Third baseman Mike Allen and designated hitter Brennen Wood were honorable mention selections. In 43 games, Allen is batting .267 with 18 RBI and seven doubles. Wood is batting .298 in 39 games with a team-high four homeruns and 23 RBI.
