FAYETTE, MO -- Mikalai "Mik" Potrzuski, a six-foot four-inch forward, has committed to play men's basketball at Central Methodist for the 2012-13 season, head coach Jeff Sherman announced.

"We are very excited to add Mik to our basketball program; what an impressive young man," Sherman stated. "Mik brings a wealth of talent to CMU. He is a very hard worker, strong, talented and intelligent. To sum up, Mik is a winner!"

Potrzuski attended Sitka High School in Sitka, Alaska. A Class 3A first team All-State selection last season, he averaged 15.2 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game, leading the Wolves to a 20-6 record and sixth-place finish in the state. Potrzuski was voted to the All-State All-Tournament Team and was a three-time All-Conference choice.

The valedictorian of his graduating class, Potrzuski will be inducted into the Sitka High School Hall of Fame.
