FAYETTE, MO -- Central Methodist University men's soccer forward Erwin Sanchez, Jr. delievered a golden goal in the 92nd minute to give his team a 1-0 victory over Graceland University on Senior Night in Heart of America Athletic Conference action at Davis Field.

The Eagles (10-5-1, 3-3 HAAC) controlled play for much of the night, outshooting the Yellowjackets (6-9-1, 2-4-1 HAAC) 16-5. The Green and Black also attempted seven corner kicks compared to only one by the visitors.

Thyago Catharino had five shots, including three on goal, in his final home regular season game in a Central Methodist uniform. Guilherme Frota had four shots, with two of those on goal, in the match.

Goalkeeper Corey Schelle played the entire match in his last regular-season tilt at Davis Field, posting a clean sheet.

Christian Quintanilla made three saves in the first 45 minutes from his goalkeeper position before giving way to Michael Schmidt, who also had three in the final 46:10.

The Eagles travel to Benedictine University-Springfield on Monday, October 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
