LAMONI, IA - The Central Methodist women's and men's golf teams wrapped up play Saturday in the Graceland Spring Invitational. The Eagles' women's team finished second overall with a two-day score of 746, while the men's team placed fifth with a tally of 633.
On the women's side, Central Methodist's Kayla Esquivel won the tournament, firing a two-day score of 177 (90-87). Alannah Hustead finished sixth with a 184 after shooting 92 on Friday and Saturday. Kelli Esquivel was tied for 10th with a 192 after firing a 96 on both days. Ashley Spaulding and Jessica Norton tied for 15th with a 198. Spaulding shot a 100 on Saturday, while Norton carded a 95 on the last day of tournament play.
In men's action, Central Methodist's Ty Lieberman finished tied for 15th overall, carding a 154 (75-79). Brad Howell was tied for 22nd with a 156 (77-79). Nathaniel Oliver rounded out the top three for the Eagles, firing a 160 (78-82).
Central Methodist takes part in the William Woods Spring Invitational on April 1-2.
