KANSAS CITY -- For the third straight week, a Central Methodist women's indoor field athlete has claimed the Heart of America Athletic Conference's top honor, this time going to Lexi Wilt.

The freshman from Shelbina, Missouri was named the league's Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday after Stephanie Atkinson and Kate Fulton won the distinction during the two previous weeks.

Wilt competed at the Jayhawk Classic and qualified for the NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships, which will be held Feb. 28-March 2 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. She recorded a throw of 13.03 meters in the shot put to reach the NAIA National "A" qualifying Standard.

Wilt will represent the conference in the running for the weekly NAIA Women's Indoor Field
Athlete of the Week award, which will be announced no later than Wednesday afternoon.
