CMU Softball defeats Bryan

GULF SHORES, AL -- No. 20 Central Methodist used a seven-run second inning to defeat Bryan College 13-4 on
day one of softball pool play action in the Gulf Coast Invitational. The Eagles improved to 8-6 overall.

Aubrey Utley got the start for Central Methodist and worked three shutout innings, striking out two and giving up three hits. At the plate, Jordyn Tolliver finished 3-for-4 with one RBI. Rebecca Lipsey went 2-for-3 with a RBI double.

The Eagles tallied 10 hits as a team in the victory.

Kristina Bailey drove in a pair of runs for Bryan.
