CMU Softball's Yount, Johnley Named Academic All-District

FAYETTE, MO -- Central Methodist softball players Kayla Yount and Kelsey Johnley have been voted to the the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ®Softball first team College Division for District Five.

Yount is a senior third baseman from Olathe, Kansas. She has a 4.00 GPA in Business. Johnley is a senior right fielder and second baseman from Troy, Missouri, and carries a 3.77 GPA in Business. Both players are now eligible for the Academic All-America team, which will be released on May 21.

The teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.
