Valdez is from Wes laco, Texas. Her club team, the Celtics, is currently ranked second in the state.
"Elvia will bring great speed, quickness, and skill to our already strong and dominant midfield," Schmidlin said. "She has a great work rate and covers a lot of ground in the midfield. She will fit in great with our attacking-minded system. We are also very excited to make this connection in South Texas and hope to bring more players in the following years."
Favuzza, a goalkeeper for Fort Zumwalt East High School in Saint Peters, Mo., also played for Mid Rivers Soccer Club.
"Raechel will add tremendous depth in the net," Schmidlin commented. "Her athleticism and talent as a keeper will allow her compete at the collegiate level as a freshman. We look forward to coaching Raechel over the next four years and watching her grow as a student-athlete."
Laffold, a midfielder at Lutheran North High School in Saint Louis, also played club soccer for Norco Soccer Club.
"Emily is a wing midfielder with great speed, skill and quickness," Schmidlin remarked. "She fits in great with the attacking-style system we will play next year. We look forward to seeing what Emily can bring to the table over the next four years."
All three players join Nicki Noreen, Megan Bremer, Sarah Hickman, Baylee Bellers, Nikki Fleischmann, Jenna Hellebusch and Kelsey Kalish in the Eagles' 2013 signing class.
