Columbia airport to get nearly $300,000: Rep. Hartzler
COLUMBIA - Columbia Regional Airport will receive $298,453 in federal grant funding for runway extension and improvements, Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-MO, announced Friday.
Hartzler said the money will allow the airport to continue its work enhancing facilities to serve more customers. One of the construction plans includes building a new terminal. According to a press release, the airport's expansion will boost the local economy.
“Top-notch service is a vital component to the Columbia Regional Airport’s master plan and this funding will help make mid-Missouri a destination location for business development and personal travel,” Hartzler said.
