Columbia Car Crash Sends Seven to University Hospital
COLUMBIA - Seven people were sent to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after two cars crashed near the intersection of Providence Road and Ash Street.
On Wednesday afternoon around 3:15, the Columbia Fire Department responded to the traffic crash.
The crash involved a light blue Dodge minivan and a dark blue Ford Explorer. The occupant of the Ford Explorer declined medical attention.
The minivan contained eight occupants. Columbia firefighters used a hydraulic rescue tool to force open the damaged rear hatch of the minivan to access the back seat passengers.
