Columbia College Men's Basketball Remains No. 1
COLUMBIA — Columbia College men's basketball remains No. 1 in the NAIA rankings for the second straight week. The team went 3-0 last week in American Midwest Conference (AMC). Columbia was the unanimous with all 11 first-place votes and 281 total points.
This past week, Columbia stayed a perfect (20-0) defeating Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) University, Missouri Baptist University and Lyon (Ark.) College. The team leads NAIA in scoring margin with 26.4 points-per-game and scoring defense with 56.1 points-against-per-game.
Head coach Bob Burchard reached the 20-win mark for the 20th time. The Cougars sit at 7-0 in the AMC, the best start since 2000-01.
