Columbia man arrested for possession of child pornography
COLUMBIA – Officials said 27-year-old Daniel B. Row was arrested for child pornography Thursday.
In late December, an investigator with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crimes Task Force began the investigation by locating child pornography being downloaded onto a computer in Columbia, Missouri. In late May, the same investigator downloaded images from a different computer located in Columbia. After further investigation, the Task Force learned that both downloads came from the same address located in Boone County.
A court order search warrant was served at a Columbia residence Thursday, where a computer and other media were seized. During examination of the devices, hundreds of images portraying sexual molestation of children were recovered. It is estimated that Row has up to 200 GB of child pornography files.
Row was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography more than 20 images and 1 video and on two counts of promoting child pornography.
