Columbia Man Arrested in Connection to Robberies
CENTRALIA - The Centralia Police Department confirmed it arrested a suspect late Monday in connection to two robberies.
Matthew J. Carter, 23, admitted to both Centralia and Columbia police officers he robbed the 22 Drive Thru in Centralia and the Passions Adult Store in Cooper County, according to Centralia Police Chief Larry Dudgeon. Dudgeon said Carter is in Boone County jail on charges of armed criminal action and first-degree robbery.
He also said Carter is already on parole for a conviction in Boone County of second-degree assault.
