CENTRALIA - Centralia police arrested a Columbia man Monday on sixteen felony counts of child pornography and abuse-related charges following an ongoing investigation by the Centralia and Columbia police departments.

22-year-old Tony D. Jones of Columbia faces four counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of the sex trafficking of a child, three counts of promoting child pornography in the 2nd degree, three counts of the use of a child in a sexual performance, and three counts of the abuse of a child.

The three sex trafficking charges are felonies that are not classified, while the thirteen other charges carry a "Class C" felony charge.

The combined bond for the thirteen classified charges totals $58,500, while the bonds for the unclassified charges will be set by a Boone Co. judge.

Centralia police said the investigation has been "intricate" and remains active at this time.

Jones has several prior incidents with law enforcement, though nearly all have involved speeding tickets or driving with a suspended license. He received probation for a 2010 domestic assault charge, and has no listed prior sex charges.
