Columbia man in hospital for gunshot wound
COLUMBIA - A Columbia man, 19, is in the hospital Tuesday morning after a shooting Monday night around midnight.
Officers were dispatched to a shots fired in the 5400 block of Volunteer Drive at 11:37 p.m. Monday night. When officers arrived they found a male running down the road with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Columbia Police Department Detectives and Forensic Evidence Unit were called to the scene to gather information and evidence.
The only suspect information is three black males, all approximately six feet tall with dark clothing and something over their faces. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
