COLUMBIA - A Columbia man is now suspected in two dozen burglaries throughout the city and Boone County.

Ty'Ihonn Riley, 20, was arrested Oct. 24 on Bethany Drive as police were searching for evidence connected to several burglaries.

Columbia Police believe Riley is responsible for as many as 13 burglaries in the city. Tom Reddin, of the Boone County Sheriff's Department, said Riley is also believed responsible for another 11 burglaries in the county.

Search warrants were served on October 24 at Riley's residence and his storage rental unit in the Midway area. Sheriff's deputies recovered a large amount of stolen property and said most of the items have been returned to their owners, including iPads and several firearms.

Riley is a suspect in burglaries in the Midway area, Copper Creek, Hill Creek and Winding Trail subdivisions, Obermiller Road and High Point Lane.

He is facing numerous charges including unlawful possession of a weapon, felony stealing, burglary, property damage and animal abuse.
