Columbia Parks and Recreation Hosts Meeting for Public Input
COLUMBIA - Columbia Parks and Recreation is hosting a public input meeting on Thursday at the Columbia Activity and Recreation Center (ARC) to discuss new restroom projects. The meeting is to inform the public on restroom construction at Garth and Grindstone Nature Areas.The restrooms will replace port-o-pot's that are currently serving the trails.
One of the restrooms that will be constructed is at Hinkson Creek Trail. The other restroom will be at Bear Creek Trail. Both trails will be funded through the park's sales tax.
The Garth Nature Area has a budget of $100,000 dollars and the Grindstone Trailhead has a budget of $115,000 dollars.
The meeting will be held at the ARC from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday night. Proposal plans will also be available for the public to see.
