Columbia Police Arrest Suspect in May Robbery

COLUMBIA - Columbia police officers arrested Vernon Jordan Thursday afternoon in connection to a robbery that occurred in May. Officers arrested Jordan at 1615 Sylvan Lane at approximately 1:40 p.m.

Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said Jordan and another suspect approached the victims car outside 3314 Jamesdale on May 18. The pair alledgely pointed hand guns at the victims and demanded money. The victims provided an undisclosed amount of money to the suspects. The victims identified Jordan through a photo line up.

Officers arrested Jordan Thursday in reference to the warrant for the robbery in first degree with a $100,000 bond, a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of possession of marijuana up to 35 grams with a bond of $2,500 and a warrant for felony parole violation with a to be set bond.
