Columbia Police arrest third suspect involved in December robbery
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department arrested a third suspect Friday in connection with a December robbery at the Jimmy John's restaurant on Rain Forest Parkway.
According to police, Mikel Derrice Crowley, 20, was arrested Friday morning. He was the third suspect to be arrested in relation to the robbery of the Jimmy John's on Rain Forest Parkway.
According to the investigation, the three men pointed a handgun at the only employee in the store and demanded money on December 7.
The other two suspects who were previously arrested for the robbery are Jafari R. Boss, 31, and a 16-year-old juvenile.
Boss and the juvenile were arrested for not only the Jimmy John's robbery, but also a string of obberies.
Boss faced a total of 13 charges including armed robbery, armed criminal action and kidnapping.
In addition to the robbery, Crowley was involved in another investigation on August 12 after pointing a handgun and yelling at his girl firend and another male victim.
Crowley is charged with robbery in the first degree, and a misdemeanor domestic assault and misdemeanor assault.
