Columbia Police Looking for Two More Suspects in Tolston Murder

COLUMBIA - Columbia Police officers identified two additional suspects Tuesday in the murder of 23-year-old Dontay Tolston. Monday, police arrested Martell Smith for second degree murder in connection with the case.

Jimiah A. Lambert, 20, and Derrick Copelin, 17, are believed to be armed and dangerous. Officers do not believe the men are in the Columbia area.

Lambert is a Columbia resident. Copelin is from New Orleans, La.

Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight filled second degree murder charges against the suspects. The Boone County court set $1,000 cash only bonds for both men.

The Columbia Police Department said a woman found Tolston on the floor of a Newton Drive residence with a gunshot wound on Jan. 2. Tolston died at the hospital on the morning of Jan. 3.
