Columbia police investigate shots fired near Clark Lane
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department was investigating a shots fired incident off of Clark Lane near Hickam Drive Monday.
According to police, occupants of a westbound passenger car on Clark Lane shot toward a car occupied and sitting stationary on Hickam Drive. Police said the occupants of the stationary car returned fire, and both cars drove away from the scene. No description of the suspects was immediately available.
When police arrived, they said they found shell casings on the street.
Officers said a nearby car, uninvolved in the incident, had at least one bullet hole in it.
Neighbors said they were concerned because children play on the street.
