Columbia police investigate shots fired on Quail Drive
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department said Thursday it was investigating after shots were fired in the 2600 block of Quail Drive Wednesday night.
Police said a man approached a residence around 10:30 p.m. and asked for a male subject. People inside the home told the man they did not know the male subject for whom he was looking, police said. The suspect then entered a nearby vehicle and fired several shots.
Police said a tire of a nearby car was hit with a bullet. No other property damage was reported, according to police. Officers said they located several shell casings in the area.
There were no injuries reported from the incident. Police asked anyone with information to contact the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
