COLUMBIA - Columbia Police are investigating the alleged armed robbery of a Petro Mart store on North College Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the store early Wednesday morning after a suspect entered the store, warned he had a gun and demanded money from the store clerk.
Officers said the suspect got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and officers also said it is unknown which direction the suspect traveled.
A K-9 assisted in the investigation but was unable to track the suspect and no video surveillance is available at this time.
The last Petro Mart robbery in Columbia was on Dec. 21, as an armed suspect allegedly robbed a store on Rangeline St. Police also responded to two Petro Mart robberies within 90 minutes of one another on Dec. 13.
