Columbia Police Respond to Robbery at FastLane 66

COLUMBIA - Columbia police officers responded to a robbery at 2:28 a.m. on Thursday morning at the FastLane 66 on West Boulevard. The police department reports a male suspect entered the store and demanded money from the cashier.

According to Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer, the suspect did not display or mention a weapon during the robbery. The man then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money heading southeast from FastLane.

A K-9 unit assisted with tracking the suspect, but the search was unsuccessful. If you have any information on this robbery, the department asks you contact the station or Crime Stoppers at (573)875-TIPS.
