Columbia Power Officials Restore Most Power
COLUMBIA - City power officials said late Tuesday morning that they had restored power to all but about 150 customers in the city. The outages were caused by the weight of snow on trees bringing down power lines.
In a news release, spokesperson Connie Kacprowicz said, "Crews are working hard to restore power as quickly as possible. There is still a chance for more problems as the day goes along. The utility would like to thank people for their patience."
The city reminds residents to report downed lines or outages to 573-875-2555.
