COLUMBIA - The City of Columbia settled the unlawful use of force case involving a Columbia man in police custody that was caught on videotape on August 15 for $250,000. The video showed an unprovoked attack by former officer Rob Sanders which caused injury to the victim who is still recovering.
Attonery Ron Netemeyer said the settlement resulted from negotiations with City representatives and the victim is grateful the city took responsibility for the wrongful actions of Officer Saunders .
