Columbia Students' M.A.P. Scores Arrive
COLUMBIA - Students showed improvement from 2009, according to scores on the Missouri Assessment Program.
Scores from the M.A.P. test arrived yesterday. In these results, Columbia students from grades 3 to 11 showed a significant improvement in math.
Students from every single one of these grades got better scores on the math portion of the test. In fact, some grades even made nearly a six percent leap from 2009.
However, scores from the "communication arts," or English, part of the test showed a different story.
There scores did not show a great decline since 2009, but overall results were down. Only 7 of 18 specified categories did Columbia students meet state standards.
