Columbia Suspect Arrested in New Orleans for Tolston Murder
NEW ORLEANS - A Columbia man was in the Orleans Parish Prison Saturday afternoon in regard to Dontay Tolston's murder.
The United States Marshals Service arrested Jimiah Lambert, 20, on warrant in New Orleans 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
As of Saturday afternoon, Lambert was in the Orleans Parish Prison on a cash only bond of $1 million and was waiting to be extradited to the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
Boone County issued a warrant for the arrest of Lambert, who has been at large since Jan. 8.
The Columbia Police Department said a woman found Tolston on the floor of a Newton Drive residence with a gunshot wound on Jan. 2. Tolston died at the hospital on the morning of Jan. 3.
