Columbia to Begin Testing Sewers With Smoke
COLUMBIA - The city will begin testing sewer lines with smoke starting today.
The purpose of the tests is to find defects in sewer lines. Officials say the smoke used for the project is non-toxic, odorless and won't create a fire hazard.
Testing will only be done within the perimeter area of West boulevard, Stadium, Fairview road and I-70.
