Commission Seeks Historic Properties
COLUMBIA - The Historic Preservation Commission put out a call for nominations for the City's Most Notable Properties for 2011.
Some of the properties on the list for 2010 were the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house, Jewell Cemetery, and the stables at Stephens College.
The commission tries to select a variety of different properties.
However, there are a few requirements for properties to be eligible properties must be at least 50 years old, within Columbia city limits, and have characteristics that contribute to the aesthetic or social scene in Columbia.
Applications are due by Oct. 1.
