Community Advocates End of SynCare Contract
JEFFERSON CITY - Seniors and disabled citizens alongside those who provide care for that population asked the State to terminate its contract with vendor SynCare.
Four major associations asked the contract be terminated and the state charge community providers with the duties of SynCare.
Since May SynCare has assessed the eligibility for Home and Community Based Services paid for by Medicaid. It develops a plan of care and arrange for the delivery services to Missouri's elderly and people with disabilities.
SynCare recently made significant reductions in its work force while at the same time struggling to meet even the basic contractual requirements.
