Construction Underway on Pedestrian Bridge
JEFFERSON CITY - For years pedestrians and bicyclists traveled over the Missouri River on a narrow strip along side speeding cars and trucks. The pedestrian bridge will attach onto the North bound bridge. It will be 8 feet wide with two look out points with views of the State Capitol.
Construction crews waited until rush hour traffic died down and started working a little before seven o'clock tonight. Crews plan to work through the night and until 6:30 a.m.
Right now crew are working on road closings. So far, the main street ramp and McCarty street ramp are closed.
