Convicted killer dies in Missouri prison
LICKING (AP) — Authorities say a convicted killer has died in a Missouri prison.
The Missouri Department of Corrections announced Monday in a news release that 54-year-old Danny Brown was pronounced dead Sunday at the South Central Correctional Center in Licking. He began serving a life sentence in April 2003 for second-degree murder, forcible rape and first-degree burglary from Jackson County.
The release said he died of "apparent natural causes."
