Cougar Women Finish Inaugural Season at AMC Championships

ALTON, IL -- The Cougar women's golf team wrapped up play Wednesday afternoon at the American Midwest Conference Championships, hosted by Spencer T. Olin Golf Course.

As a team, Columbia finished in fourth place with a two-day score of 755. William Woods University won the event with an overall score of 620.

Junior Hannah Gill carded a 158 (81-77, +14) in her two rounds, finishing fourth overall to lead the Cougars. Freshman Laken Frese finished in 18th with a 187 (96-91, +43), followed by MiKayla Knaebel in 22nd with a 195 (97-98, +51). Liz Friedman and Ashley Fisher rounded the scoring for Columbia, qualifying 29th and 36th respectively.
