MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Montgomery County, as well as other counties around Mid-Missouri, will finish up their county fairs with some big events Friday and Saturday.
A semi-truck and school bus demolition derby will start at 7 p.m. at the Northwest Arena on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A truck and tractor pull will start at 7 p.m. on Friday night at the Grandstand and continue Saturday night at 7.
The fair will also feature many kids events on Saturday like a watermelon-eating and seed-spitting contest, a punt-pass-kick competition and a greased pig and animal calling contest. For a complete list of the fair's events, visit http://www.montgomerycountyfair.org/#!fair-book.
The Randolph County Fair will host a pancake breakfast Friday morning from 6:30 to 8:30 as part of its county fair. A swine and poultry show will follow at 9 a.m. On Saturday morning, the 11th annual Classic Clover 5K Run/Walk will take place. The Monroe County Fair also wraps up its festivities this weekend. A swine show, a fashion revue and a livestock and ham sale will take place today at the fairgrounds. Tomorrow will feature a dog show, a car show and youth events.
