COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department confirmed it has one suspect in custody after a law alarm sounded at Best Buy on West Worley Street at approximately 8 p.m. Monday.
The police department said that is the kind of alarm that would go off in the event of a suspect breaking and entering. The police department will also not confirm whether this incident was an attempt to steal merchandise because it is still under investigation. CPD said officers apprehended the suspect running from the scene.
The police department also said the primary officer on this case is still with the suspect as of 9:15 p.m. KOMU 8 News will continue to post updates as they become available.
