Crews respond to reports of capsized boat on Missouri River
BOONE COUNTY - Water rescue crews and other emergency personnel responded Friday after a report of a capsized boat in the Missouri River.
The Boone County Fire Protection District said the search was called off just before 5 p.m. Friday, and crews didn't find anything.
The fire protection district said it had two boats in the water and a helicopter in the air at one point Friday afternoon.
BCFPD said Cooper County and the Missouri State Highway Patrol each had one boat in the water searching.
A total of 28 crews responded to the scene as of 4:50 Friday afternoon, according to the Columbia Fire and Rescue dispatch log.
