DaJonee Hale named Heart of America Player of the Week
Columbia, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference awarded its Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor to Central Methodist guard DaJonee Hale on Monday afternoon.
Hale lead the Eagles in scoring en route to two victories last week.
This is the second honor for CMU this season, after Lexie Moe took home the inaugural honor in November.
“DaJonee had an unbelievable week,” CMU head women’s basketball coach Mike Davis said. “She actually moved to our point guard spot and was so good on the offensive end of the court. Her efficiency was at a high level. We are excited to see what this season brings for her.”
DaJonee Hale led the Eagles with 24 points in 29 minutes of action against 11th ranked Benedictine College, while chiming in with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.
The Eagles concluded the week with a road win at Grand View where Hale played all but two minutes and scored a game high 37 points.
Hale finished the week shooting .510 from the field, .440 from beyond the three-point arc, and .900 from the free-throw line.
The 17th ranked Eagles return to action Saturday, when Central hosts Graceland University at Puckett Field House.
