FULTON - The Danuser Machine Company opened its new $3.7 million expansion Friday after a year of construction. The improvement was made possible through 100 industrial development bonds issued by the City of Fulton.
Friday's grand opening brought in visitors who witnessed a ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the new addition. After the ceremony, company leaders offered lunch, tours of the plant and product demonstrations to guests.
The family-owned company has been in Fulton since 1910 and prides itself on improvement. That improvement includes the new 32,000 square feet of space.
"Our company motto is 'Good enough won't do; it must be done right.' And it's reflected in all that we do," said company sales manager Rolland Bartley.
The company has been able give workers more hours because of the expansion. It also hired seven more workers in 2014 and plans to hire up to at least 10 more in the coming years because of the new facility.
