JEFFERSON CITY - Missourians who can't vote on November 6 have two more days to take advantage of an absentee ballot.

Voters have until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31 to submit an application for an absentee ballot to their local election authority. To receive an absentee ballot, voters must have a good reason for not being present on Election Day, such as illness or temporary residence out-of-state because of work or school.

Absentee voters will need to vote in person before 5 p.m. on November 5. Voters can also choose to mail in their ballots to their county clerk. Mailed-in ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on November 6.

Absentee votes will be counted on the night of November 6, along with all other votes cast in Missouri.
