DED Releases February Jobs Report
JEFFERSON CITY - The Department of Economic Development released its report of job figures for February on Tuesday.
The office reported Missouri added 2,300 seasonally-adjusted jobs to non-farm payrolls during the month.
The increase caused the state's adjusted unemployment rate to continue to fall, now down to 7.4 percent. The rate fell one-tenth of a point from January.
The nationwide unemployment rate for February was 8.3 percent.
Tuesday the department also released its final report about jobs in January. It said the state added 700 more jobs than first reported--for a total of 21,800.
